Do people need a password?

No. Everyone signs in with a magic link sent to their email, and invites work the same way.

Can people in one team work different days?

Yes. Working days are set per person, so leave is counted against the days each person actually works.

What happens to days people don't use?

That is up to you. Carry over a few days with a deadline, carry everything forward with no limit, or let unused days go at the end of the year.

Do people get their allowance up front?

Your choice per policy: the whole year on 1 January, or a share each month. People who join mid-year can get a prorated first year.

Who approves leave?

Their manager, one named person, or nobody when requests are approved automatically. Set it for the whole company, a department or one person.

Can HR see time off without being an employee?

Yes. Invite them as a Viewer. They see everyone's leave, swaps and balances, change nothing, and never appear in the team's lists.

Can someone belong to two companies?

Yes. One sign-in can belong to several companies. You choose per company which modules they use and set an end date when their time off moves elsewhere.

Can we bring balances from our old system?

Yes. Add a starting balance to anyone, with a written reason that stays in their history.

Do I need Slack?

Only for standups. Time off works on its own, and standups can use the full Slack app or a simple incoming webhook.
